Copenhagen and Rome

My flight left Dulles in time and I arrived in Copenhagen Denmark at about 1:15 in the morning our time, 7:15 local. I did not sleep a wink on the plane but i felt like I was still doing pretty good so I took the train down into Copenhagen.

It was pretty chilly, overcast and drizzly. I really didn't know what I was looking for but about the only thing that I was familiar with was a section called Nyhaven. It's a canal in Copenhagen that you see in all the pictures. Colorful buildings lining a cobblestone street and a canal filled with sailboats.

I also went in search of the statue of the little mermaid to no avail. However I did come across Michelangelo's David. He looks pretty cold to me.

I saw a couple of other things while I there but I have no idea what they were.

So, finally, on to Rome. The flight was over an hour late so by the time I got to Rome it was after 8:00 PM (Rome time). I finally got to the hotel and met up with Trevor. We got dinner and finally got to bed at about midnight. By that time I had been without sleep for well over 24 hours. Zzzzzzzz.

  1. I guess there's cool things to see no matter where you go. Hope you do the rest of your trip on here so you have it recorded for posterity (or at least for me to read).
